I first start with pre tacking all my racks together, once these are completed then it’s time to weld them out. All Welded UP!I layout both lleft and right sides of the cabinet then weld in the racks and the offset plateTwo grate racks and water pan rack 3rd rack was added since there is enough space Main cabinet door layout with grate location’s and firebox door is added on the bottom portion of the unitFront and back, left and right sides all tacked together – picture is from top shooting down to the offset plate Bottom plate tacked in 1/2″ from the bottom lip Handle, hinges and framing all in place and ready for final weld> Hinges are made from 7/16 Cold rolled steel and 7/16 ID pipe, I use 7/16 drill bit to ream out the pipe to give it extra play in the hinge
